By:write 2 right

California English teacher and award-winning writer, Angelo Spyropoulos, has recently released his first novel, RV. This book is a 188-page travel-adventure fiction for young adults – it is also available in e-book format.

The tale is revealed from the viewpoint of the main character, 13 year old Joey Mills - a child of divorced parents. His mother has a restless electrician boyfriend, Pete, and they are having relationship difficulties. Apparently, Pete has a problem telling the truth and has a compulsion to steal. Despite these faults, Joey likes Pete because he treats him like a friend. While yearning for his father and some form of stability, Joey has some minor drug and sexual experiences during a surprise trip to New Mexico in Pete’s RV. He learns to see his mother as a human being, with flaws and needs, and comes to understand his parent’s divorce. In turn, the parents learn to make better choices and strive to get along.

This is a story about loyalty, courage, keeping secrets and the curious nature of young people and where it can lead them.
