Some things to watch out for include increased blood pressure, heart rate, sweating, confusion, shaking, rigid muscles, and high-grade fevers. Any of the above could indicate a condition known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome, which is a fatal condition sometimes associated with antipsychotic medications. You should also watch for uncontrollable or abnormal movements. Abilify is known to increase the risk of a stroke in eldery patients taking the medication for dementia related issues.

Furthermore, those with diabetes or at risk for developing diabetes should know that Abilify might increase the bloods level of sugar.
