First Steps for New Affiliates to Start an Internet Marketing Business from Scratch

The biggest question that new affiliates and internet marketers face amongst the plethora of information on the net and the threat of scams is: “Where do I begin?”
A good place to start is by reading books by the authorities on internet marketing, such as Robert Allen’s book, Multiple Streams of Internet Income.
The next step is to do some research on the internet for home-based business opportunities, earning money online, etc. It is a good idea to join some discussion forums, like the Internet Warrior forum, where you will find invaluable information, tips, advice, and answers to just about everything from pros and newbies alike.
After you’ve done some reading and research, you must take action! An online business has to start somewhere, and sometimes this involves a little trial and error, some failures and mistakes, but you must learn by getting into the game! So choose your niche market (what interests you/what you want to promote), and get into the game! Some niche markets are highly competitive and some are less competitive. It may be easier to start with a less competitive market, so do your research!
Your website set-up can be easy, or it can be difficult-the choice is yours! To get your business up and running, the basics you will need are: a website, a domain name, a web-host (free is not always best), a newsletter to capture subscribers on your site, an auto-responder to send the regular email newsletter to your subscribers, and links on your site to the products and/or services you are selling either directly or by affiliate selling.
This all sounds complicated, but it is really easy, especially when you have someone else to do it all for you! You may think it costs big bucks to get it going, but you can get a free-website setup, ready to generate income, as long as you buy your own domain name and web-host-and you can do this all in 24hrs!
The trick is to promote your site, get traffic to it so that people can see what you have to offer, and get it ahead of the competitors in your market and in a position on the search engines to profit. Some programs will teach you how to do this and give you all the necessary tools! There are many free ways to advertise, and there are many costly ways to advertise, but once you find what works for you, the potential to earn not only cash, but residual and leveraged income for life is unlimited!
