Phone Call With You

By:Anna Biaritz Roldan

I called you last night
And it was the best night of my life
Well, no it wasn’t
But still it was great

I was so tensed
I didn’t know what to say
It was all about school
But still I was frightened

I simply kept talking,
Talking and talking
You hardly said a word
And I felt so stupid

But this morning you asked me
“Why did you call, again?”
I told you why
And so you remembered

And then you said you were eating
That’s why you hardly spoke
So at least I was relieved
I wasn’t so stupid at all

It was my first conversation with you on the phone
I had mixed emotions
But the feeling wasn’t new
‘Cause I always feel this way with you
