How can a world so rich and free
Allow us lives of poverty
How can a world with all its might
Allow our lives to face such plight
How can a world just sit and stare
When lives are living through despair
Why a western world of little need
Should harm our pride and make us plead

The answer friend is help you grow
To sow the seeds and banish woe
The answer friend, preserve belief
Unite as one to end the grief
The answer friend, arrest disdain
To coalesce and cease the pain
The answer friend is in our hearts
We’ll join as one and play our parts
