Goldie: Book Review
By:write 2 right
Written in collaboration between two authors, Goldie proves to be a full and rich story with a realistic action-packed pace and a style that gives a definite sense of being there.
Orphaned with young siblings to look after, Goldie endeavors to save what is left of her family and their land by continuing her father’s boot-legging ventures with the Mafia. With difficult decisions to be made between love and the life she desires, Goldie then stumbles upon scandalous secrets and narrowly escapes the mistake of a lifetime.
This is an empowering story of people rising above hardships and incredible torment. Convictions in friendship, despite differences that are socially frowned upon, bring a sense of righteousness and honor into the characters of the book.Only strong, centered people could survive this era and the book’s heroic characters fall into this category - the kind of people, I think, we would all like to be.
