Internet Marketing and How To Build More Traffic

By:Anthony Kristovich III

Internet marketing. Search engine optimization. SERPs. All of these buzzwords center around a topic that every website needs to pay attention to. Building targeted traffic is the name of the game. If you’re a guru then you already know everything I am about to tell you, but if not, then sit back and learn some new things.

There are many ways to advertise your site on the internet to gain some traffic. Afterall, a site with no traffic is useless. When you can get the quality traffic with your intended audience it really works well.

Here are some ways to get building traffic today:

1. Google Adwords – There is no doubt this will help get you more traffic. You need a good budget however to get a good position to get qualified traffic as well as good exposure. If you have a good marketing budget, then this is a great way to go since the people are already there and looking daily.

2. Articles – You can write articles to put on article directories that will give you great free exposure. People that find your article either by browsing for it or more likely through a search engine, are already laser-targetted traffic. Throw in the fact that it is free to do and it really comes out among the best ways to get a new site rolling.

Another great bonus of writing articles is that you put a link to your website in the resource box. This means you get some nice backlinks, and search engines will find your site more often and help get it into the search engine database faster.

3. Forums – Join some forums on your topic and put a link to your website in your signature. This way you don’t announce the site(most forums don’t allow that), but you still get a great benefit.

4. Exchange links – This can be among the biggest and most important things to do. You building up backlinks so your link popularity goes up. As a result, your search engine results position increases as well, getting you more traffic naturally. If possible, vary your backlink anchor text so it appears more natural to search engines and gives you a greater boost.

As you can see, there are many great things you can do to boost your new website’s traffic. If you’re on a budget, I suggest writing articles and exchanging links. The added bonus of these 2 methods is that you get even more benefit down the line than you do now, which means these things help your website gain momentum and continue to get larger over time if you stick with them.
