Within the glen the dragon roars
A fervid spirit beats inside
Celebration will be yours
Embrace the soul and let it guide

Over dale and hollow land
Beyond the vale and jagged shore
Myths and legends told firsthand
Tales that live forever more

Anthems echo round the glen
Tongues blessed with angelic tone
Voices of a thousand men
Expressing song wherefrom they’ve grown

Miners toiling night and day
Aching bones have took their toll
Daily grind to earn their pay
Homeward bound to warm the soul

Snowdonia reaches to the sky
Meadows bathed in evening sun
Hawks and kestrels born to fly
Home to roost now day is done
