An Electric Fireplace…The hearth of the matter.

An electric fireplace instantly transforms a house into a home as it provides a focus from where a family interacts. Made immensely popular during the Victorian Era, the fireplace in addition to the production of heat, adds a touch of class, providing homes a cozy, quaint environment. Over the years, as the style of housing changed, so did the style of electric fireplaces along with the technology. Today however, if you love the warmth and effect of a fireplace but live in an apartment, a home without a chimney, or if you are on a tight budget, you can still consider plugging into an electric fireplace. No matter the style of your home, contemporary, country, Mediterranean, and so on, you can find an electric fireplace to enhance any décor.
Have your fireplace and heat it too.
Real fire is elemental and primitive; it talks to you like your soul. And when it comes to keeping warm on a wet, windy night, nothing comes close to the satisfaction of real flames and glowing embers. Get it to your heart’s content with an electric fireplace. For it looks exactly like a normal, wood burning fireplace but without the worry about fire or fumes since it uses no wood or gas. The basic fireplace still consists of two elements - the surround and the electric fireplace insert. The surround portions of the fireplace are often more attractive, since concern for high heat is not a factor. The insert made of cast iron and often decorated is the portion of the fireplace where the fire is burned using realistic electric fireplace logs. And from thereon the evolution begins – you can vary the appearance of the mesmerizing, believable fire from lazy flames to a raging fire and even summon simulated sounds of real crackling logs.
During summer, the simulated fire can rage on relentless, without an iota of heat being generated! TV-type hand-held remotes put you in charge of thermostatically controlled heat and multi-speed blowers. Besides, you need never worry about your kids and pets getting accidental burns, since both the logs and the exterior of the fireplace do not become hot. And if you cannot part with your warm electric hearth, you can, with utmost ease, take it with you to your new abode. Quite literally therefore, in this day and age, you can have your fireplace and heat it too!
