Plead

By:A.Z. Alfred

Don’t stare at me like that
Fighting back those tears
While riding on your white horse.
I know I was wrong,
To have kissed her
When those kisses belong to you.

Please let that tap run
And let me plumb its flow,
Wiping my fingers on your cheeks.
Don’t turn your back on me, love
Cry and let your shoulders dance
So I could rock you in my arms.
